A special meeting of the River Valley Board of Education was held in the Board Room at Correctionville, Iowa at 5:34 p.m. Those present were President Scott Carnes in the chair, and the following Board members: Dawn McCrea, Gaylen Goettsch, Kirk Utesch. Absent: Scott Knaack.
Board received initial contract proposal from RVEA (certified staff).
Motion by Utesch, second by Goettsch to approve resignation submitted by Connie Kimple effective the end of the 2011-2012 school year. Motion carried 4-0. The Board thanks Ms. Kimple for her many years of service and dedication to the students of the district.
Motion by McCrea, second by Utesch to approve resignation submitted by Marlene Baumann effective June 30, 2012. Motion carried 4-0. The Board thanks Mrs. Baumann for her many years of service and dedication to the students of the district.
Motion by Goettsch, second by McCrea to approve resignation submitted by Patty Brandhorst effective the end of the 2011-2012 school year. Motion carried 4-0. The Board thanks Mrs. Brandhorst for her many years of service and dedication the students to our district.
Motion by Utesch, second by McCrea to approve resignation submitted by Debra Bagenstos effective June 30, 2012. Motion carried 4-0. The Board thanks Mrs. Bagenstos for her many years of service and dedication to the students of the district.
Motion by Goettsch, second by McCrea to adjourn. Motion carried 4-0.

The Board entered into exempt session for conditions of employment where employees are not covered by a collective bargaining agreement.
